My name is Kevin Cook and I am asking for your vote for my grandfather, Bob Hayes, for County Legislator. I’m not asking for your consideration because Bob is a family member, but rather, because After a 30-year career with Sears & Roebuck, Bob retired and began working for the county as the first-ever Director of 911. Since leaving that position, Bob has been a dedicated civil servant of Oswego County for nine years and will continue doing great work for you, if he’s re-elected.

Oswego Sub Shop Peewees Open Season With A Pair Of Wins

On Saturday, (Oct. 28), The Oswego Tier II Travel team sponsored by the Oswego Sub Shop defeated The Syracuse Blazers 12-2. The Blazers got on the board early with Kyle Debejian scoring just 16 seconds in on a clear breakaway, but The Sub Shop controlled the game from there. On Sunday Morning The Sub Shop Peewees battled rival Skaneateles at the Anthony J Crisafulli Rink. The Sub Shop again came out on top, this time in a much closer contest 3-2.

Convicted Sex Abuser Sentenced To Prison

Today (Oct. 30), 25-year-old Marquis Andrews of Oswego was sentenced seven years in state prison and 10 years post-release supervision upon his felony convictions for two counts of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree. He was also sentenced to one year for two separate misdemeanor counts of Sexual Abuse in the Second Degree. Prosecutors alleged that Andrews subjected a female child to unwanted sexual contact on two occasions during the Summer and Fall of 2016. The victim was 12-years-old during the first incident and had turned 13 years old by the second incident.
