The New York State Police in Pulaski announce the arrest of two men, one an Oswego County Legislator, 51-year-old Shawn P. Doyle of 85 Lake St., Pulaski, and 73-year-old John James Maroney of 185 Leavitt Road, New Haven. The investigation commenced when the parents of a 15-year-old reported what they believed was an inappropriate relationship between their son and Doyle and Maroney.
The Oswego Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO announced its endorsement of Nathan Emmons for Oswego County Legislature, 15fh District. Emmons has strong labor support and has also received the endorsement of Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 73, the International Union of Engineers Local 158 and the Central and Norther New York Building and Construction Trades.
Oswego County Opportunities Cancer Services Program hold its annual Human Pink Ribbon Ceremony October 28 from 10 a.m. to noon. Held in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month the event will host a number of vendors as well as a variety of health related information. Staff from the Oswego County Health Department will be on hand to administer flu shots.

Michael G. French has announced his candidacy for town of Granby supervisor. French, a longtime resident of the town, said he is running to bring more transparency and better communication to Town government, as well as working for the betterment of the community.
