Just Weeks Left To Enjoy A Tour Of The Famous Oswego Lighthouse

Only a month remains for lovers of Oswego’s rich maritime history to enjoy a guided tour of the city’s famous West Pierhead Lighthouse. Tours end September 29 for the 2023 season. All tours require a boat ride from Wright’s Landing to and from the lighthouse. Tours cost $30 for adults and $20 for children age 12 and under. Free admission to the H. Lee White Maritime Museum is included in the ticket price.

Today, U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand announced $6,837,883 in federal funding for youth mental health initiatives and programs, as well as treatment for substance use disorders in New York State. The funding was allocated through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and will be used to serve a wide array of needs, including helping to develop and support school- and community-based mental health programs and services, as well as expanding access to substance use disorder (SUD) treatments.

Two separate groups of everyday Americans, fulfilling their civic duty by serving on a grand jury, have now issued two separate indictments of Donald Trump for his efforts to overturn the will of voters, even after he knew he’d lost the 2020 election. These are the most serious indictments thus far because they deal with a conspiracy to overturn the foundation of our democracy: the vote of the American people.

Community Yard Sale To Benefit United Way Of Oswego County

A Community Yard Sale to benefit United Way of Oswego County programs is scheduled to take place Saturday, August 26, from 9am-1pm, rain or shine. The yard sale, located at 7263 State Route 104, will be organized and hosted by volunteers who are Constellation employees at Fitzpatrick Nuclear Power Plant. Bargain finders will be able to browse and purchase a wide variety of slightly used merchandise while knowing their money will support several non-profit agencies across Oswego County.
