Safety Event Scheduled
The Oswego Fire Department and Oswego Police Department will host a free safety event for families on June 17. The hours will be from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the East Side Fire Station.

At a recent Fulton Sunrise Rotary meeting, Rotarian Patrick Waite introduced Margaret Streitenberger who is a local author. Her publishing company, Tails and Tales, LLC, has published 12 books to date including the Reading for Rescue series.
Come and help Save Whiskey Island and Northern Great Bear Wednesday evening (May 31). A fundraiser will be held at Duskees Sports Bar in Phoenix, 8 Bridge St., 6 to 11 p.m. A local local bike group, WNR, has organized this event. There will be live music, wings and other food available.
Buttercup has an interesting story. Sometime in the late spring he manged to get inside the home of his foster mom, unbeknownst to her, and take up residence in the basement. He looked so much like another shy pretty buff-colored resident cat that he was there, maybe for weeks, before she finally realized that she had two shy pretty buff-colored cats living with her. OK, so she was really busy getting ready for the Humane Society Fur Ball and maybe not paying a lot of attention.

The Digital Deli Archive is proud to release a tale from Stories Across America called “Small Town, Big Pride on Memorial Day”. The micro edu-taiment multimedia documentary will be released on Memorial Day 2017. The setting is a small town in upstate New York after a request for the Vietnam Veterans Moving Memorial Wall was honored. The documentary was independently produced by John Grala and Barbara Ahart.
Novelis is partnering with the Zonta Club of Oswego as the Title sponsor if their 33rd Amelia Earhart Woman of Achievement Dinner honoring the late Billie Crandall Brady. Billie was a long-time resident of Oswego County and served the community tirelessly for 28 years.
