Annual Picnic Celebrates Older Residents On August 16

The Oswego County Office for the Aging (OFA) partners with the United Way of Greater Oswego County once again to host the fifth annual Senior Picnic for older residents. The luncheon runs from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 16 at the Mexico VFW, 5930 Scenic Ave. The event is open to any Oswego County senior aged 60 or older.

Volunteers Needed For Fun, Exciting Opportunities To Help Harborfest 2023

Harborfest 2023 is just weeks away and a limited number of volunteer positions to help the area’s biggest and best festival are still available. Most positions require small investments of time and provide experience working in the festivals and events industry. Beginner’s Canning Workshop To Be Held In Mexico

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County will be holding a free beginner’s canning workshop on Saturday, August 12th from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the county extension office located on 3288 Main Street, Mexico. This workshop is sponsored by the CCE Oswego Master Gardener Volunteer Program and will provide a basic introduction to canning for gardeners.
