Wreath ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery.  Troop 780 Scouts John Pittorf, Austin Donhauser, Derek Hilton, and Mike Miano present wreath to guards.2010 is the 100th anniversary of Boy Scouting in the USA. Hannibal Troop 780 visited Washington, DC and the National Jamboree at Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia in recognition of the 100th anniversary.

The Heritage Foundation of Oswego County to Host the 38th Annual House Tour in the Town of Minetto

The historic Brown residence at 56 County Route 24 (Benson Avenue) in the town of Minetto is one of six sites to be featured on the 38th Annual House Tour fundraiser hosted by the Heritage Foundation of Oswego County on Sunday, September 26 from 1 -5 pm. An optional luncheon will be hosted at the Battle Island State Park Clubhouse from 11 am to 1 pm. The 38th Annual House Tour sponsored by the Heritage Foundation of Oswego County will be held Sunday, September 26 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the town of Minetto. This year’s tour will feature five historic homes and two churches.

Fulton Rotarians Meet District Officials

District Governor, P. J. Scott, of the Eastwood Rotary Club, left, and Assistant Governor Joette Deane, of the Oswego Rotary Club, right, recently made their official annual visit to the Fulton Rotary Club.  Governor Scott advised the Fulton Rotarians on the progress of various Rotary programs.  The Rotary programs receiving special emphasis this year deal with local community improvements, eradication of polio and other childhood diseases, world literacy, and clean pure drinking water throughout the world.  Each of the more than 33,000 Rotary Clubs in the world will work toward these Rotary Goals.  The Fulton Rotary Club meets weekly.  Any community member having an interest in a service club should call 592-4486.District Governor, P. J.
