Lowe’s to Join ARISE in Building Ramp

On Saturday, October 2nd, employees from Lowe’s in Oswego will roll up their sleeves and construct a ramp at the Wilcox home 2333 County Route 176 in Fulton. The ramp build will start at 9:00 a.m. at the home that is located right across from the Oswego County Airport.

Four Seasons Quilters Donate to ARC Gala

Stephanie Crowley, of the ARC of Oswego County, accepts the donation of a quilt hand-made by the Four Seasons Quilters of Scriba.  This quilt, which features panels made from each member’s “private stash” and an oak leaf stitch pattern, will be just one of the items available at silent auction at the 5th Annual ARC of Oswego County Gala fundraiser, October 16.  The quilting group began the project shortly after last year’s Gala and recently completed it.  The Annual ARC Gala is the nonprofit’s largest fundraiser, supporting services for individuals with disabilities in Oswego County.  ARC of Oswego County has been providing programs and services for individuals with disabilities since 1955.This quilt, which features panels made from each member’s “private stash” and an oak leaf stitch pattern, will be just one of the items available at silent auction at the 5th Annual ARC of Oswego County Gala fundraiser.

Amateur Radio operator Ed Proto, AF2N, accepts a public safety radio from the Oswego County Emergency Communicators/Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service Radio Officer John Darling, K2QQY. Proto was promoted to Alternate Radio Officer – Operations.  From left are Mark Lewis, KC2JNI, Alternate Radio Officer – Logistics; Darling; Proto; and Tim DeMarais, KC2SKG, Alternate Radio Officer – Administration.  Absent was Bob LaMay, WA2AFF, Alternate Radio Officer – Planning.The Oswego County Emergency Communicators/Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service (RACES) membership recently welcomed the promotion of Ed Proto, amateur call AF2N, to the position of Alternate Radio Officer – Operations.
