Google Expeditions Transports Mexico Students Around The World

Mexico Elementary School third graders walked the Great Wall of China, ventured around the Democratic Republic of Congo, witnessed the beauty of the Great Barrier Reef and explored Santa’s workshop all from their library media center. The virtual field trips were made possible with Google Expeditions kits, on loan from the Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation.

CiTi Students Help Improve Trails At Great Bear

Students in the Heavy Equipment Repair and Operations program at the Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation recently showcased their skills by helping a local wildlife area become more accessible. The students worked to improve a trail section at Great Bear Recreation Area by making it more handicap and wheelchair accessible.

Oswego Community Youth Orchestra Announces Annual Christmas Breakfast Buffet Benefit With Santa

On December 17 from 8 a.m. – noon the Oswego Community Youth Orchestra will hold its very popular fundraiser at the Masonic Hall, Lake City Lodge #127, at 765 E. Seneca St. Each time is a tremendous success as hundreds of people of all ages came to enjoy the delicious all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet and assorted entertainment while showing their support for local elite student musicians.

The Oswego Lions Club will present “Roar with Laughter” staring headliner and veteran comic Nick Sterio, an Oswego native who is returning to his hometown for a night of comedy, and Erica Spera as opener, on January 26 at The American Foundry, 246 W.
