The Oswego County Legislature’s Health Committee designated November as Hospice Month at the full meeting of the Legislature. Oswego County Hospice has provided medical, social, and spiritual support to patients and their family members in their homes for nearly 30 years.
In anticipation of another snowy winter season, members of Oswego County Opportunities’ Nutrition Services are preparing to make sure seniors in its Home Delivered Meals program don’t miss a meal. Each year, with the help of caring businesses, organizations and community members, OCO’s Nutrition Services prepares and distributes hundreds of “Blizzard Bags” to home delivered clients throughout Oswego County.
In collaboration with the new ownership of Thunder Island, CNY Arts Center is excited to announce an expansion into dinner theatre pairing dinner and a show at the Oasis Room at Thunder Island, 21 Wilcox Road. On December 15, 16 and 17, the Arts Center will present A Tribute to Walt: a Culinary Cabaret, under the direction of Adam Schmidtmann.

On December 4, the Hannibal Historical Society will meet at 6 p.m. for a business meeting. Following this meeting, Lowell Newvine, Hannibal Town and Village Historian and Hannibal Historical Society Historian, will present a program detailing the life of Amos W. Farnham.
A silent auction will be held noon until 1 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 3, at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church. There will be a wide variety of items for auction.

Oswego County Federal Credit Union announced the third annual “Gloves with Love” program to collect new hats, mittens, gloves and scarves for kids. OCFCU and its partner, Exelon Generation, launched “The Gloves with Love” program from November 29 through January 5, 2018.
Kingsford Park Elementary School honored Oswego City Police Department Officer Thomas Grover at its recent Citizenship Awards, with the entire student body pitching in to thank him for the “opportunity to have Officer Grover be part of our lives.”
