Celebrating its 60th year, the Fulton Elks will launch the spring carnival season with their 60th Annual May Day Celebration and Bike Giveaway on May 4 and 5. The festival includes live entertainment, food, music, dancing, midway rides, concessions and games, activities and more on both days.

The one-day workshop, cleverly titled “From Make Believe to Manuscript,” will be led by local author and poet Jim Farfaglia and will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Coached by Gene Mills, Tighe has qualified for the NYS Division II Championship an astounding four times in his career; winning 5th and 1st place titles twice.

Regina Margrey, an EMT Critical Care Technician for Oswego County Ambulance Service, was inducted into the Fulton Sunrise Rotary Club

All retired, semi-retired and senior residents of Oswego County are invited to meet at 3:15 p.m. at the Mexico Methodist Church parking lot on Route 69. The walk through the village will last approximately 45 minutes.

Faculty and staff artists will appear from 5 to 7 p.m. May 3 for a free opening reception at the library’s Lake Effect Cafe. The exhibition, just outside the cafe, will run through May 31.

For the life jacket photo contest, Wear It! Oswego will select up to 20 photos, and each winner will receive a Wear It! Oswego campaign T-shirt. All winning entries will be posted on the Wear It! Oswego Facebook page.
