Sean and his family will make an encore appearance at the Arts Snow Day Jan 21 at Fulton Alliance Church on Rte 48S. Compass Invests In Oswego Elementary Schools

Compass Credit Union and Leighton staff and students join together to accept the check for student clothing needs. Students are part of the “Bank at School” program. In front are Sam Griffin, FLS mascot Lula Griffin, Lauren Garafolo and Ava Cloonan. In back are Compass volunteer Mike Wheeler, FLS counselor Sarah Dodd, Compass Marketing Administrator Jackie Wiegand, FLS Principal Julie Burger and Home and School President Kelly Griffin.Compass Credit Union has once again stepped forward to assist Oswego schools. During this year’s holiday season Compass Credit Union donated a total of $2,000 to four elementary schools who participate in the “Bank at School” program.”

Coordinator of the Step By Step Wellness Program, Pam Peeling (right) and peer generalist Sue Van Slyke review curriculum for Step By Step’s Mental Illness and Chemical Addiction program that focuses on helping individuals who are seriously contemplating or beginning to work on their recovery.Offered through Catholic Charities of Oswego County, Step by Step Wellness Program’s Mental Illness and Chemical Addiction group is a peer run support group specifically designed to serve people in need of support for mental illness and chemical addiction.

Happy Holiday School BusThe final day of school, prior to holiday break, Oswego bus driver Josh VanGorder wore a Christmas tree hat and greeted his student passengers. It was a bus celebration as most of the Riley students donned Christmas hats, reindeer antlers or just huge holiday smiles.

Creative Caregivers

The Creative Caregivers Club made holiday gift baskets and donated them to churches in Mexico and Pulaski. Pictured from left are Chuck and Stella McCabe and Pastor Bill Palmer of the Mexico Methodist Church. Sponsored by the Oswego County Office for the Aging, Creative Caregivers is a support group for people who provide care to a loved one over the age of 60 who suffers from chronic illness. The group meets at 2 p.m. on the second Wednesday of every month at the Salvation Army Building, 73 W. Second St., Oswego.  All are welcome to attend. There is no charge to participate. For information contact the Oswego County Office for the Aging at 349-3484.The Creative Caregivers Club made holiday gift baskets and donated them to churches in Mexico and Pulaski.
