Most Reverend Bishop Robert J. Cunningham will celebrate Mass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Syracuse on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. On Christmas Eve, the Cathedral will open at 3 p.m. On Christmas Day, the Cathedral will open at 9 a.m.

Development of a comprehensive economic development plan is one of the first steps that an anti-poverty task force will take in an ambitious plan to reduce poverty and unemployment in Oswego County. The recommendation was one of many goals outlined in a consultant’s report to the Oswego County Community Health and Poverty Reduction Task Force earlier this month at CiTi, the Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation in Mexico.
The John Wells Pratt House Museum of Fulton has held the annual Parade of Trees for roughly 35 years. Developed as a way for the residents of the city of Fulton and local businesses and organizations to come together during the holiday season, the event has only grown with each passing year. Today, the event is open to any school, non-profit organization or business that is interested in entering a decorated tree for the contest. Any person or group interested may enter a decorated Christmas tree in any of the four categories including adult, youth, child or business.
