Master Plan In Development For Fulton’s Recreation Park

Fulton’s Recreation Park on the shore of Lake Neatahwanta has long been a cornerstone of the city’s image and a draw for everything: from big band entertainment in the mid-20th century, to the hub it is today for youth hockey, basketball, football, and special events. The city’s parks and recreation department has been working with stakeholders and a consultant to develop a master plan for park development.

State University of New York today announced the $50,000 winners of the SUNY Startup Summer School (S4) Class of 2023 Demo Day, a competitive program designed to showcase the most promising technologies and startups being developed by participants, including 179 SUNY students, faculty, and staff in emerging technologies fields spanning 27 different SUNY campuses. The SUNY Startup Summer School, now in its fifth year, offers entrepreneurial education and training to help students and faculty secure the initial funding needed to get their technology to market.

Mayor Barlow Proposes 2024 City Of Oswego Operating Budget With No Tax Increase

Mayor Billy Barlow has proposed his 2024 city operating budget to the Oswego Common Council, his seventh budget as Mayor. Mayor Barlow’s $60,807,855 spending plan, for the seventh consecutive year, calls for no increases to any taxes or fees. To date, the Barlow administration has yet to use the general fund to balance a budget, has issued one tax decrease in 2019 and successfully lower water and sewer bills for flat rate homeowners by $300.
