Oswego County Sheriff’s Office Announces Installation Of New Body Scanner Equipment At Corrections

The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce the installation of a new piece of equipment called the TEK84-Intercept Body Scanner. The body scanner is located in the Corrections Division at the Public Safety Building. This equipment detects both metallic and nonmetallic threats, including weapons, drugs, cell phones and other contraband.

The Oswego County Village of Parish reinvigorated a great tradition on Saturday, August 5, 2023. Parish Old Home Day was celebrated under beautiful sunny skies on a brilliant Summer day, with a large gathering of vendors, crafters, first responders, festival food tents and trailers, and of course, community members of all ages.

Boilermakers Recruit Apprentices

The Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) for Boilermakers Northeastern, Local Union #5, Zone #7, will conduct a recruitment from September 7, 2023 through August 8, 2024 for five Boilermaker (Construction) apprentices, the New York State Department of Labor announced today.

Gas Prices Continue Upward Trend

Today’s national average price for a gallon of gasoline is $3.83, 7 cents higher than last Monday. One year ago, the price was $4.07. The New York State average is $3.90, up 8 cents from a week ago.
