The updated study would look at cancer rates around the Nine Mile Point nuclear plants, as well as cancer rates at every other nuclear facility in the country.

People living in Oswego’s Second Ward are fed up with the noise, vandalism, foul language and overall bad behavior of some of the youth in the area. The YMCA’s free fun day attracted dozens of youngsters recently. They offered a variety of activities and games for youngsters up to about middle school age.

The village begins its sesquicentennial celebration Saturday afternoon by unveiling a new book on the village’s history. The book is called “Pictorial History of Hannibal, NY” by town and village historian and former Mayor Lowell Newvine.
