Lady Buccaneers Softball Opens With Big Win
Laura Miceli and Emily Kolenda combined on a no-hitter as the Oswego High School Lady Buccaneers defeated Nottingham 17-0 in the softball season-opener. And, in a nail biting, cliffhanger the Oswego Lady Bucs varsity lacrosse team captured its third win of the season with a 13-12 come-from-behind victory over Auburn.

Classic Rock Tribute Bands Set To Perform During “Rev & Rock†Festival On August 14th At Oswego Speedway
Four nationally known tribute bands including Changes in Latitudes, Separate Ways, Draw The Line, and Hotel California, as well as Oswego’s own original southern rock band Frostbit Blue, are set to perform this summer at the Rev & Rock Classic Rock Festival at Oswego Speedway.

Oswego Girl’s Varsity Lacrosse Mounts Comeback to Beat Auburn in Thriller
A strong Oswego surge after the half helped to regain the lead and put away the pesky Auburn Maroons. After trailing 8-6, the Lady Bucs scored five straight goals to open the half. Oswego (3-0) regained the lead and kept it even after a late Auburn (1-3) surge.

Visiting Auburn jumped out to a quick 3 – 0 lead, and the JV Lady Bucs were unable to get any closer. The scrappy Auburn team capitalized on their ability to get ground balls and control the draw circle to lead at the half 9 – 2.

Oswego’s varsity Lady Bucs pounded the ball all game against Nottingham and picked up their first victory of the season. The Bucs ran away with the game outscoring the Bulldogs 17-0, Monday night.

Not many thought just a little over a month ago when a snow storm ripped through Central New York dropping snow that measured in feet on top of what was already on the ground that race cars would hitting Fulton Speedway anytime soon.
