Not many thought just a little over a month ago when a snow storm ripped through Central New York dropping snow that measured in feet on top of what was already on the ground that race cars would hitting Fulton Speedway anytime soon. Mother Nature smiled on us melting the snow and giving us an 80 degree day for open practice on the high banks.

Record snowfall in Central New York and surrounding areas forced Fulton Speedway officials to re-evaluate their 2010 season-opening weekend, and after receiving full company support, have cancelled the Hoosier Tire-VP Racing Fuels Mr. DIRTcar 358-Modified Championship event scheduled on Friday, April 9.

The Greatest Show on Dirt, the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, will return to Fulton Speedway during the 2010 season on Tuesday, August 3. The special event will mark the third ever appearance by the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series to the Fulton Speedway high banks. Brooke Tatnell won the first ever World of Outlaws Sprint shoot-out at Fulton in 2005, while Donny Schatz claimed the victory in the 2006 event.
