Sixth grade students received a warm welcome to Pulaski Middle School during a recent locker walk through activity. Accompanied by relatives, students were able to tour the school, become acclimated to their new schedules and practice opening their lockers.
The American Legion Post 418 in Phoenix is hosting a chicken barbeque on Saturday, September 16. Each dinner is $9 or $8.50 for seniors. Dinners will be sold from noon til gone at the Phoenix American Legion located at 9 River Road.

SUNY Oswego has once again earned a top 50 ranking in the 2018 “Top Regional Universities in the North” from U.S. News and World Report, as well as a top 100 placement in Washington Monthly, which rates schools on their contribution to the public good. Oswego tied for 13th among public universities in the North Region, 48th overall, among institutions in the U.S. News and World Report ratings.
Fulton Rotary Club President Jerry Seguin welcomed Nanna Fischer, the club’s exchange student from Billund, Denmark. Volney Elementary School Principal Todd Terpening’s family is Nanna’s first host family.
The Oswego County Legislature’s Human Services Committee recognized Keeghan McSweeney with the 2017 “Paul Santore Award for Outstanding Youth.” McSweeney was involved with various Oswego City-County Youth Bureau programs from seventh grade through his high school graduation in 2015.
