New Staff Members Join Fulton School District

The Fulton City School District recently welcomed 25 new staff members who are eager for the 2017-18 school year to begin. During a recent two-day new staff orientation, the group was introduced to district and building administrators, with a focus on personnel, benefits, literacy and UPK, instructional coaching, technology and network administration, student support and instructional support.

Voters took to their respective polling places Tuesday (September 12) to cast their ballot for which candidates will appear as the primary runner for their party in November’s general election. As soon as the “Steel Palace” its doors on Oswego Speedway’s 2017 season, it began to morph into the “Clay Palace.” DIRT Week is scheduled for October 1- 8 and the track is nearly ready, according to Jeff Hachmann, director of events. The track is just about ready, a bit faster than last year, he told Oswego County Today. But there are a mryiad other pieces of the puzzle to contend with, he added.

Hastings Man Arrested Following ‘Violent Physical Domestic Incident’

On September 11, the New York State Police arrested Michael P. Mulcahy III, 30, from Hastings. Mulcahy is accused of holding the female to the ground, striking her several times with a belt, and threatening to kill her with a knife. He is also accused of forcing the woman to have sexual intercourse.

We come to you today with so much love and appreciation for all of the strength and support that you have given us over the last six years; since the death of our beloved and dearly missed, Maggie Sue Wilcox. Now that all of their measures are solidly in place and all of the right people are hard at work, it is time for our rest and healing and remembering to begin. The MSGW Foundation and The Wilcox Mosquito Foundation (as well as our email and Facebook accounts) will now be dissolved and deactivated.

Fulton Junior High Welcomes 7th Graders With Picnic

Principal Chris Leece introduced himself and other FJHS staff members to the large crowd gathered in the cafeteria before students and their families disbursed to student lockers to practice combinations, walked through their bell schedule and chatted with representatives from school and community organizations that offer support and assistance throughout the school year.
