Lacona’s Carley Stoker graduates From Eastern Connecticut State University

More than 850 Eastern Connecticut State University students graduated in the 2022-23 academic year, which culminated with two commencement ceremonies at the conclusion of the spring 2023 semester. The University’s undergraduate ceremony occurred May 16 at the XL Center in Hartford, CT, and the graduate-level ceremony occurred May 13 on Eastern’s campus.

Gillibrand Announces Bill To Strengthen 9/11 Victims Law

Today, U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand announced her support for the Ensuring Justice for Victims of Terrorism Act, bipartisan legislation that would close loopholes in the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act (JASTA). The bill would make technical corrections to JASTA that would enable families of victims of terrorism to sue foreign state actors for aiding and abetting terrorism.

United Baptist Church Of Scriba To host Outdoor Worship Service At Breitbeck Park July 16

Come one; come all to Breitbeck Park to enjoy a “Casual” Outdoor Worship Service put on by the United Baptist Church of Scriba. There will be two different live bands performing (Lost & Found and the United Baptist Church of Scriba Praise Band). An amazing message of truth will also be given by Pastor Colon Wright.
