SUNY Oswego Physics Professor Receives Grant For Lithium-ion Battery Research
SUNY Oswego physics professor Mohammad Islam has received another grant from the Syracuse Center of Excellence (CoE) to improve the range of lithium-ion batteries, so electric cars can better compete with gas-powered vehicles. The Syracuse CoE – which specializes in research pertaining to water, environment and energy – provided $15,000 to support Islam’s work.

Frank P. Mastro, Sr., 83 of Hannibal, NY passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 27, 2023, with his family by his side. He was predeceased by his parents, Filbert and Olive Mastro; sons, Frank Jr. and David Mastro; sister, Pat Mastro; and grandson, Scott Cook, Jr.
