Optimism High Despite Tough Weather for Farmers

Driving through the district this past week I couldn’t help but notice a lot of corn being chopped and reflect on the season. I’ve seen a lot of nice crops out there, so I hope the season went well for most. I know it’s been an up and down year for many of us. The wet weather kept the pastures green and lush for grazing all summer long, but it made it difficult to dry hay.

Oswego Firefighters’ Golf Tourney Benefits MDA

The Oswego Firefighters Association is holding a golf tournament to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.  The Captain and Crew tournament will take place on Sunday, September 28 at the Tamarack Golf Course on County Route 1 in Scriba.  There will be shotgun start at 10:00 AM.

The Oswego City School District has signed on with SchoolMessenger, a California-based company that provides notification services for parental outreach and student communications for K-12 Education. The system is programmed to call the phone number of parents for a variety of reasons that impact the safety and academic performance of your students.
