Serving as a crucial reminder for customers to contact 811 before digging, August 11 marks National 811 Safe Digging Day. To observe the occasion, National Grid is reminding customers and contractors nationwide to call 811 before starting any digging or excavation project (no matter how big or small) to have underground utility lines properly marked. Dig Safe ® is a free service funded solely by its utility members to promote public safety and avoid costly underground utility damage.

Some Travelers Are Renting EVs For ‘Test Drives’ While On Vacation

More and more drivers are interested in electric vehicles, and some are “taking one for a spin” as a rental car while on vacation. AAA’s rental car partner Hertz has been investing heavily in electric vehicles for its fleet with purchases from Tesla, Polestar, and GM. The company now has tens of thousands of EVs for rent at more than 1,600 locations in 44 states. Hertz hopes to provide nearly two million EV rentals by the end of this year-about five times the number of EV rentals it did in 2022.

Price Chopper/Market 32 Issues Voluntary Recall Of “Corner To Corner” Pizza

Price Chopper/Market 32 is issuing a voluntary recall on a variety of store-made “corner to corner” pizzas, manufactured on July 2, 2023. The products are being recalled because the manufacturer of the pizza dough, Deiorio’s, has advised that foreign materials – fragments of a conveyer belt used in the manufacturing process – may be found in the dough. There are no known harmful side effects from the products but customers who purchased them can return them to their local Price Chopper/Market 32 store for a full refund.
