State Department Of Transportation Announces Start Of $5.2 Million Roadway Improvement Project In The Village Of Manlius

New York State Department of Transportation Commissioner Marie Therese Dominguez today announced that work has begun on a $5.2 million project to resurface key sections of State Route 92 and State Route 173 in the Village of Manlius, Onondaga County. The project will improve travel and enhance safety for motorists and pedestrians along two important roadways that provide access to the village’s vibrant downtown area – which features many restaurants and retail establishments – and also serve as connectors to the nearby villages of Chittenango and Cazenovia. In total, approximately 1.2 miles of roadway will be resurfaced in the village.

The New York Association for Pupil Transportation (NYAPT), a statewide organization dedicated to the support, development, and representation of professionals responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of our school children, is supporting Operation Safe Stop Day – an annual public awareness event to promote school bus safety and educate the public about the dangers of illegally passing a stopped school bus when its red lights are flashing.

Community Wellness Partner’s To Affiliate With The St. Luke Family Of Caring

The St. Luke Family of Caring (an affiliation of St. Luke Health Services, Bishop’s Commons and St. Francis Commons) in Oswego, NY along with Community Wellness Partners, (an affiliation of LutheranCare in Clinton, NY and Presbyterian Homes & Services in New Hartford, NY) is excited to announce an intent to affiliate. Together, the multi campus, multi-level service providers plan to fully affiliate once the legal components of the agreement have been completed, which are anticipated to happen within the next few months.
