United Way Intern Says Thank You

As finishing my second year as intern for United Way’s Stone Soup Luncheon, I would like to extend a personal thank you to all volunteers, sponsors and attendees who offered their support to the Annual Stone Soup Luncheon hosted by St. Joseph’s Parish in Oswego. Seeing so many community members, students, and volunteers come together to support a cause was once again an amazing experience.

There are people in our town who’d like you to believe with their signs and rhetoric that voting to make the Highway Superintendent position an appointed position will take away your right to vote on town issues. Political Posturing!

Political Posturing definition: Taking a position on an issue strictly because it is politically advantageous to do so. For example, being against something solely because the other side is in favor of it. This past Oswego County Legislative meeting saw me being accused of Political Posturing. This is the second time in three years that I have been accused of this by the Chairman of the Legislature.

I support Colleen Deacon for Congress

I support Colleen Deacon for US Congress. Colleen wants to put the American people back to work. Colleen want to rebuild the middle class. Colleen recognizes that investing tax dollars to keep the nuclear plants open, and to keep the jobs here in Central New York has a snowball effect, earned and spent by middle class workers keeps everyone in our whole economy working.
