Richard Phillip Kline, (R), Oswego County Legislator, 12th District, town of Schroeppel, has announced his candidacy for reelection. Kline owns and operates his family farm in the Sandridge area.
Jamieson Persse, commercial producer for Eastern Shore Associates Insurance, received the Kenneth Boutwell Service Award at Thursday’s (March 5) 99th annual meeting of the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce. The Boutwell award is given to an individual who has shown unselfish, long-term commitment to the chamber.
State Police say the accident happened shortly before 10:00 a.m. on Route 11, just north of the Barker Rd. intersection.

The crash happened at about 7:20 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Route 11 and Hastings Transfer Station Rd. in Hastings.
Police allege he had engaged in what they said were “numerous acts of sexual conduct” with a child 10 years old or younger. The incidents happened between July, 2007 and Spring, 2009, according to police.
A Syracuse man has been arrested for allegedly having anal intercourse with a child several times at a Hastings residence in 2001. Mathew J. Angona, 23, of 300 Lodi St. Apt. 1, Syracuse, was arrested Thursday and charged with first-degree sodomy and first-degree sexual abuse, both felonies. After assaulting the arresting officer, he was also charged with second-degree menacing, resisting arrest and second-degree harassment.
