OHS Varsity Lacrosse Teams Sweep Foes

Oswego varsity lacrosse player Dom Cianfarano had another five-goal game in the win over Auburn.

The season has gotten off to a slow start for the Lady Bucs varsity lacrosse team, but the squad made up for the 0-5 start with a 14-8 win over visiting Auburn on Tuesday. Oswego headed to Auburn for a boys’ varsity lacrosse game and came home with a 13-6 victory.

Lady Bucs Fall In Nine-Inning Affair

Emily Kolenda threw a three hitter as she went all nine innings on Saturday against Union Endicott

Softball and lacrosse action was under way through the weekend with the Lady Bucs falling in extra innings on the softball diamond and the lacrosse team pulling off a spectacular rally to win in overtime against host South Jefferson.

Oswego Lacrosse Teams Can’t Solve L’Pool

Oswego lacrosse teams were back in action on Tuesday as Liverpool provided the opposition. In Liverpool, the OHS boys’ varsity lost 16-9 to the host Warriors for the first loss of the season. In Oswego at Wilber Field, the Lady Bucs lost 16-6.

Buc Varsity Boys’ Lacrosse Keep Winning Streak Alive

The Buc varsity boys’ lacrosse team moved to 3-0 on the year with a 10-5 win over visiting Watertown in less than ideal conditions on Friday night at the Turrill Street Field. The Bucs got behind 2-1 after one quarter, but four in the second and a quartet of goals in the third put this game on ice.

Bucs Rally For Lacrosse Victory

Better weather conditions greeted the Oswego High School Buc varsity lacrosse team as it hit Joe Wilber Field on Wednesday. A six-goal second half explosion spearheaded by two goals apiece by Dan Maniccia and Matt Lloyd spelled the difference as the Bucs walked off the field with a 6-3 win and a 2-0 early season record.

Lady Buccaneers Softball Opens With Big Win

Laura Miceli and Emily Kolenda combined on a no-hitter as the Oswego High School Lady Buccaneers defeated Nottingham 17-0 in the softball season-opener. And, in a nail biting, cliffhanger the Oswego Lady Bucs varsity lacrosse team captured its third win of the season with a 13-12 come-from-behind victory over Auburn.

Oswego Girl’s Varsity Lacrosse Mounts Comeback to Beat Auburn in Thriller

A strong Oswego surge after the half helped to regain the lead and put away the pesky Auburn Maroons. After trailing 8-6, the Lady Bucs scored five straight goals to open the half. Oswego (3-0) regained the lead and kept it even after a late Auburn (1-3) surge.

Visiting Auburn jumped out to a quick 3 – 0 lead, and the JV Lady Bucs were unable to get any closer. The scrappy Auburn team capitalized on their ability to get ground balls and control the draw circle to lead at the half 9 – 2.
