Sponsored by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County, the market will be held at the Mexico VFW on Scenic Avenue, just north of the village. Visitors to the market will discover great holiday gifts from local agricultural producers. And, they will have the opportunity to speak directly to the farmers present at the market.
On Thursday, Eric Behling told the Oswego Sunrise Rotary about his apple farm. His farm, located in Mexico, produces apples, strawberries, raspberries and various other crops.
Established in 1974, OCO’s Meals on Wheels program currently serves more than 600 homebound individuals throughout Oswego County.

A craving for some chicken and a penchant for playing poker added up to $1 million recently for an Oswego County resident. Charlene Hopkins stopped at the Mexico Big between her two jobs to pick up some chicken for dinner and used the change to buy some lottery tickets. After scratching off the ticket for a million dollars, she never got around to cooking the chicken.
