Oswego County Opportunities, Inc. (OCO) will hold their annual Golden Opportunities Raffle Drawing this upcoming April 2nd, and eight lucky individuals will walk away with cash prizes of up to $10,000, according to Diane Cooper-Currier, Executive Director at OCO.
Oswego County Opportunities’ honorary Head Pin, the Pink Guardian Angel, learned about OCO’s Respite Program when it stopped by the agency’s respite home in Oswego. The only one of its kind in Oswego County, OCO’s respite home was established in 2006 and is designed specifically to provide relief to caregivers of developmentally disabled children and adults.

The curb-to-curb, low-cost bus transport service for the elderly and persons with special needs typically sees usage drop during the winter months, but not this year.

Oswego County Opportunities’ Developmentally Disabled Program opened the doors of its independent group residence in Minetto to welcome the honorary Head Pin for OCO’s upcoming Bowl-A-Fun, the Pink Guardian Angel.

For participants in Oswego County Opportunities’ Senior Nutrition Services Dining and Activity Centers and the Home Delivered Meals Program, answers to their concerns regarding diet and nutritional health are only a phone call away.

The honorary head pin for Oswego County Opportunities’ upcoming Bowl-A-Fun, the Pink Guardian Angel, recently enjoyed a tour of Oswego County courtesy of OCO’s Oswego County Public Transit.

Oswego County Opportunities announced the winners of $100 “early bird” drawings from the pool of tickets purchased to date for the Golden Opportunities raffle.

Jim Smiley, director Catholic Charities of Oswego County’s CYO Program and Stacie Roberts, coordinator of the CYO Mentoring Program presented Susan Lippke, Oswego AmeriCorps program assistant, with a certificate in recognition of AmeriCorps’ support for the CYO Mentoring Program.
