Lieutenant Governor Antonio Delgado Signs And Launches Pledge For Accountability Against Gender-Based Violence

OPDV has launched the year-long Pledge of Accountability: Engaging Men & Boys Against Gender-Based Violence, a digital Pledge created by the Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence that encourages men and boys to become better allies, to recognize many of the behaviors that contribute to gender-based violence are associated with negative masculine stereotypes, and to speak up against gender-based violence in their lives. All signatories of the digital Pledge will receive a Certificate of Accountability that can be shared on social media.

Canalway Trail System Received Over 10 million Visits During COVID-19

The Erie Canalway Trail and the Champlain Canalway Trail continue to receive high levels of use year after year, according to the newly released Who’s on the Trail 2022: Canalway Trail report from Parks & Trails New York (PTNY) and the New York State Canal Corporation (NYSCC). PTNY estimates that the Canalway Trail system as a whole receives roughly 3.55 million visits per year, based on longitudinal count data from electronic counters installed at 24 locations along the Erie and Champlain Canalway Trails over the past five years.
