Stone Creek Golf Club Women’s League Hosts Benefit Tournament For OCO’s Cancer Services Program Of The North Country

Members of the Stone Creek Golf Club Tuesday Night Women’s League recently held a tournament to benefit Oswego County Opportunities’ (OCO) Cancer Services Program of the North Country. Coordinated by Tina Bourgeois, the tournament raised $1,390 in support of the program’s fight against cancer in Oswego, Jefferson, Lewis and St Lawrence Counties.

Hottest Weather Of The Summer On The Way

The heat is on! With hot and humid weather in the forecast this week across the region, AAA Western and Central New York is reminding motorists to be aware of the dangers of hot cars. On average, 38 children (under age 15) die in hot cars every year according to the National Safety Council, which reported 33 such deaths in 2022 and 14 so far in 2023. While an overwhelming majority of these deaths are accidental, such tragedies are often preventable.

Oswego County Offices Urge Caution In Outdoor Activities This Week

Oswego County officials are urging people to be cautious in their outdoor activities as daytime temperatures are expected to reach the mid- and upper 90s during the second half of the week.
