Catholic Charities of Oswego County’s “Great Tastings,” is loaded with food, fun and music for 2 – 5 p.m. Sunday, May 1 at the Lake Ontario Event and Conference Center, Oswego, said Mary Margaret Pezzella-Pekow, CCOC executive director.
More than $15,000 was raised by more than 400 participants in the fourth annual Run for Dennis 5k Run/Walk, held on March 14, to honor the memory of Oswego resident Dennis Pacheco, a victim of bladder cancer, it was announced by Jessica Newson, race director and Pacheco’s daughter, and Jane Pacheco, co-director and Pacheco’s wife.
More than 300 people have registered for the fourth annual Run For Dennis 5k Run/Walk, said Jessica Newson, race director. The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. March 14 to honor the memory of Oswego resident Dennis Pacheco (5/28/59-3/17/11), a victim of bladder cancer.
The Fulton Lions Club’s 12th annual “Lions Loot” sweepstakes has been moved to April 19, 2015. The event has traditionally been in November and the change in date is due, in part, to how closely Lions Loot has fallen to the club’s September Duck Derby. The event drawings are scheduled for 1 p.m. April 19, 2015 at the Fulton Polish Home.
The fourth annual City of Fulton employees’ golf tournament fundraiser, held July 26, at Emerald Crest Golf Course, Palermo, raised $4,500 for Catholic Charities of Oswego County said Tom Schimpff, event chairman.

Burke’s Home Center’s Fulton store was recently honored for being in the Top 10 in Warehouse Purchases for 2009-2010. This award honors the Top 10 Do It Best Members across the nation for the support of building materials purchased through warehouse distribution.
