Bags In The Air! Fulton YMCA Cornhole Tournament Open To All, Supports Programs For Families

Bags and laughter will be in the air Saturday, August 5 when the Fulton Family YMCA holds a fun charity Cornhole Tournament beginning at 11 a.m. at The Yard at Lakeview Lanes, 723 W. Broadway, Fulton. Money raised through the event will support the YMCA’s many programs and services to help families in the community.

Local Residents Named to The University Of Scranton Spring 2023 Dean’s List

Local residents were among more than 1,675 students named to The University of Scranton’s Dean’s List for the 2023 spring semester. The Dean’s List recognizes students for academic excellence. A student must have a grade point average of 3.5 or better with a minimum number of credit hours during the semester to make the Dean’s List. The list includes students from the Jesuit university’s College of Arts and Sciences, Kania School of Management and Panuska College of Professional Studies.

Office for the Aging Hosts Farmers’ Market Coupon Distribution Event

The Oswego County Office for the Aging (OFA) today announced the location of its drive-up distribution event scheduled for Wednesday, July 5 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. OFA staff will distribute 2023 farmers’ market coupon booklets to eligible seniors at Cayuga Community College, 11 River Glen Dr., Fulton.

Oswego Player, Inc Announce 2023 Scholarship Winners

Every year, the Oswego Players, Inc. awards scholarships to two high school seniors who plan on continuing their education. The awards are dedicated after two members who hold a special place in Oswego Players rich 85-year history, Lawrence Rose and Marion Greene. They were both avid Oswego Players’ members and supporters of the arts. Each year, the Players identify two graduating seniors who exemplify the qualities held dear by both former members of the theater group.
