The Fulton Lions Club’s second and final “Lions Loot” sweepstakes Early Bird drawing will be drawn at the February 2017 board meeting. A total of five names will be drawn for the prize of $100 each.
The Fulton Lions Club has announced that it will host “The Mane Event” comedy night with nationally known comedians Tony Deyo and Dan Mahoney, Oct. 14 at 8 p.m. at the Fulton Polish Home. All proceeds benefit the club’s “H” and Mary Dowd Scholarship Fund.
Less than 300 tickets remain for The Fulton Lions Club’s annual “Lion’s Loot” drawing. The chance of winning up to $10,000 is quickly coming to an end and last year, they sold out. The event starts 1 p.m., April 24 at the Fulton Polish Home.
Jim Farfaglia, a local author who has written a number of books on life in Central New York, made a presentation on his recent book, “Voices in the Storm: Stories From the Blizzard of ’66,” at the March 17 meeting of the Fulton Lions Club.
The Fulton Lions Club has already sold more than 600 tickets for its annual “Lion’s Loot” drawing, leaving less than 400 left for purchase. “The chance of winning up to $10,000 is quickly coming to an end, and last year we sold out,” said Ron Browning, co-chair.
Lion Paul Forestiere, executive director/CEO of Cornell Cooperative Extension-Oswego County, made a presentation on the organization at the Jan. 21 meeting of the Fulton Lions Club. Forestiere spoke about the origin, mission, and programs offered by cooperative extension.
