The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office has reported two unrelated marijuana growing arrests in the town of Schroeppel. Both Paul D. Calderwood, 53, of 250 Barnard Rd. in Phoenix and Robert T. Holden, 55, of 271 Barnard Rd. in Phoenix were arrested on Tuesday, August 30 for “unlawfully growing marijuana,” on properties in the town of Schroeppel after a Border Patrol helicopter sighted the marijuana from the air, according to Oswego County Undersheriff, Eugene Sullivan.
At about 7 p.m. on June 16, the Oswego City Police Department Criminal Investigation Division was notified by a concerned citizen of what appeared to be an illegal drug transaction taking place in plain view in Franklin Square (West Park). Two Oswego men were charged as a result of the investigation.
At approximately noon on May 9, investigators with the Oswego City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division conducted an investigation into illegal activity at 42 E. Oneida St. During the course of the investigation, the residence was searched resulting in the discovery of approximately four pounds of marijuana.
As a result of execution of search warrants, evidence was seized from two locations consisting of nearly $12,000 in cash, approximately 1.5 pounds of marijuana, numerous prescription narcotics and numerous items of paraphernalia commonly used in the production and sale of illegal drugs.
