The driver was stopped at West Fifth and Albany streets for aallegedly utilizing a cellular telephone while operating the vehicle. Further investigation reportedly discovered marijuana inside the vehicle; with more at his residence.
The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office, along with members of the US Border Patrol, NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, Drug Enforcement Administration, Fulton Police Department, and the Oswego Police Department, seized over 300 marijuana plants in Hannibal, Oswego town and Scriba in a joint eradication effort. Howard Middleton could have gone to prison for a long time for growing marijuana in his Phoenix home. Instead, he pleaded guilty to a violation, paid a fine and walked out of court because a judge ruled police did not have the right to search his home.
Members of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office recently responded to Sand Road in the town of Sandy Creek where deputies seized 50 large marijuana plants between six and nine feet tall with a street value in excess of $50,000. The investigation continues.
