Novelis has joined on as the presenting sponsor of the upcoming Tri-Oswego 2012 Triathlon scheduled for June 16th in Oswego, according to Tri-Oswego Race Director Shane Broadwell. This is the second consecutive year Novelis has partnered with the event.
To ensure the success of their in-house campaign for the United Way of Greater Oswego County, they decided to get off to an early start and have planned a number of unique incentives.
Novelis today announced major plans for its operation in Oswego. The company has announced a $200 million expansion in New York to meet rising automotive demand. It will mean at least 100 new jobs.
This season has seen numerous improvements in the Oswego High School Softball Stadium. Novelis has been a major contributor to the effort for a new outfield fence and Buc windscreen.
Representatives of every grade level at the Charles E. Riley Elementary School said a big “Thank You” to Novelis. Recently students and staff of the eastside Oswego elementary school expressed their gratitude to Novelis “Cans for the Community Committee” for its tremendous support.
Novelis and the Oswego City School District have teamed up once again this year in a major aluminum can recycling campaign.

Novelis’ 2010 / 2011 employee campaign for the United Way was an resounding success as they far exceeded their goal of $77,000 and raised more than $85,000.
The Oswego High School Lady softball team recently received a grant from $4,500 from the Novelis Cans for Community Committee.
