Hockey fans attending the SUNY Oswego Lakers women’s and men’s ice hockey games on Dec. 10 were asked to bring a donation of non-perishable food items.
As part of their annual employee campaign in support of the United Way of Greater Oswego County, Oswego County Department of Social Services recently held a used book sale.
The event, held in the Oswego YMCA Armory, provided an opportunity to learn about the many human services programs available to youth in Oswego County. It showed those present how their agencies could work together. The presentations touched on job training, mentoring, juvenile justice services, recreation and much more.
December 10 will be a special day for the United Way of Greater Oswego County as they will be the honored guests at both the SUNY Oswego Lakers Women’s Ice Hockey game and the SUNY Oswego Lakers Men’s Ice Hockey game.

Local eateries, restaurants and food stores throughout Oswego County are doing their part to help make this year’s Annual United Way Stone Soup Luncheon the best ever.
Scheduled for Nov. 18, the luncheon will help get you kick off the holiday season as you enjoy a delicious bowl of soup with your friends, co-workers and other community members.
