Gillibrand Announces Nearly $500,000 In Federal Funding For New York Institutions From African American History And Culture Program

Today, U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand announced $498,435 in federal funding for three New York cultural institutions from the Museum Grants for African American History and Culture (AAHC) Program. The funding was allocated through the Institute of Museum and Library Services and will be used to build the capacity of African American museums, support the growth and development of museum professionals at African American museums and bolster community-based programming.

Schumer, Gillibrand Announce Over $23 Million In Federal Funding For New York Airports

Today, U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand announced $23,455,963 in federal funding for 13 New York airports, including $9,294,391 for the Syracuse Hancock International Airport. The funding was allocated through the Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport Improvement Program (AIP) and will be used to revitalize airports and enhance airfield safety.
